Interesting Cause of Loss at Commercial Building

Hot water heater located in ceiling of commercial building causes huge water damage in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We recently got a call from a commercial building down the street, and the customer described the loss as "Raining in their office".

After shutting off the water to their whole building they called a plumber and found the source of the leak is the hot water heater in the ceiling.  

When we got there, there was standing water, acoustic tiles were falling down, and contents were ruined. The customer had no idea he had a hot water heater in the ceiling. He was new to the building and still getting used to things.
