Spring Floods

Spring is on its way and that means showers. With showers comes flooding so we have a few tips to put your mind at ease and enjoy the beautiful, warm weather. 

• Never walk or drive down flooded streets. We have a lot of roads that flood because our city was not set up with with rain floods in mind. It can only take 6 inches of water to be swept off your feet.
• Check your insurance policy to see what type of flood insurance you have. You never know what mother nature is up to, the fewer intrusions in your life, the better.
• Lastly, it is always a good idea to have an emergency plan in place. Set one up with friends or family. It is also a good idea to make sure you have plenty of supplies in your car in case of such emergency.
