Damaged Wood Flooring From Water Damage
This damage was caused from a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen, Which we see pretty frequently.
In the first photo you can see the wood has already absorbed a substantial amount of water and is already starting to buckle. The reason this happens is because before the wood is laid down, it is set on top of a sheet, most of time with plastic on it. That acts like a moisture barrier and doesn't allow the water to go anywhere except run under more flooring.
The second photo you can see all the different types of flooring the wood was installed on top of. A wooden subfloor on top of vinyl and concrete under everything else.
We at SERVPRO of Henderson and Boulder City have specialty drying equipment for wood floors before any damage sets in.
